England - Yorkshire Dales to Lake District

Next morning we had time for another short walk. This stream is known as Dob Gill. It flows out of Harrop Tarn which is a small body of water that collects on top of the fells above Thirlmere reservoir. Initially over 2000 acres of spruce and larch were planted from 1908 after the dam was built. More broad-leafed trees are being planted now.
